Household COO Support
“We started working with Lori when I was eight months pregnant, and two years later I can’t imagine our family without her.
My husband works very long hours, and I also work full-time. As our baby’s arrival got closer, I worried that every spare hour would disappear into household management, and we'd never get time together as a family. Hiring Lori as our Household COO is how we avoided that. She jumped right in and took on a huge role in organizing and preparing our home for the baby. She has been running the operations of our household ever since. The best part is that I never have to manage Lori: she notices what needs doing and does it, often before I've noticed it at all.
A few examples of what she has taken off our plates:
Found, hired, and trained our housekeeper. Lori ran the entire search and all the interviews. Then she trained our housekeeper on exactly which products we like on which surfaces and how to care for special furniture items. She keeps all our cleaning and house supplies stocked and reordered.
She built our "home manual." Every warranty and appliance manual is in one place, along with a log of service dates and recurring tasks. Lori handles those tasks too, like swapping the HVAC filters on schedule.
She manages all of our home vendors. That includes our electrician, HVAC company, lawn service, painters, and handymen. She meets them at the house, oversees the work, and makes sure it’s done right. When we need someone new, she vets the options and chooses the right person. My husband and I no longer take time off work to wait for a repair window.
Home organizing—she is truly magic. Lori has decluttered, organized, and built new systems for our pantry, mudroom, my closet, our toddler’s closet, the home office closet, the basement closet, the utility closet, and the garage. She did all of it completely independently. She measured every space and shelf, sourced bins that fit perfectly, commissioned custom shelving from Etsy makers and local contractors, labeled everything, and installed it all. Her systems have "stuck" and that clutter hasn't crept back.
Other tasks I otherwise dread or put off: furniture assembly and installation, researching and buying a new product to solve a specific problem around the house, dinner and cocktail party prep, guest room prep, insurance reimbursement, small home repairs that I "could" do myself but never do... the list goes on!
What sets Lori apart is her flawless judgment. She has "super-mom judgment." Rather than give explicit instructions, I often say, "Make the system you would want to use if this were your house," and when I come back, it's better than anything I could have dreamed up. She knows when to ask a question, and when to just decide.
Lori has given us the gift of time and lifted the mental load. That has been a gift for our marriage and for us as parents. Our evenings and weekends belong to our family now, not to an endless household to-do list.
Beyond all of that, Lori is a deeply kind, calming, and joyful presence in our home—no surprise that our toddler and golden retriever adore her too. If you are lucky enough to get time on her calendar, don’t hesitate. I could not recommend her more enthusiastically.”

“I hired Lori to project-manage our family’s Hilton Head beach condo renovation/modernization, and her role was nothing short of remarkable.
She started by helping us figure out what we actually wanted: which design elements mattered, which parts of the condo were important to us, what we wanted to change, and why. It's a small space (500 sq ft) that we didn't want to be over-the-top beachy. Lori understood that vision exactly. Without anyone asking, she put together a project doc full of photos and ideas from her research giving our builder a clear picture of what we wanted to bring to life.
The bedroom is a great example. Lori took an idea she had and translated it into something the building team could understand and build, maximizing storage and allowing a king size bed in the limited space. That bedroom is now the only one of its kind in the entire complex.
Throughout the project, Lori managed our budget, vendors, timeline, and decisions. She held us accountable on the calls we needed to make so nothing fell behind. She sourced materials and researched plumbing, electrical, and every other piece of the puzzle.
Most importantly, Lori treated the condo like it was her own. She answered every question as if she'd be the one staying there on vacation. The result is a space that's useful, efficient, and has every detail you could want in your vacation rental.
At the end of the day, I don't think we could have done it without her. Lori made the renovation happen on our tight timeline, and we were open and welcoming guests by the following spring.
