Household COO

Your Life. Easier.

Most people with full, demanding lives aren't short on resources. They're short on the right support.

I work with select individuals, couples, and families in the Washington, DC area as a Household COO. My clients have high standards, full lives, and a clear sense of what their time is worth. They aren't looking for someone to follow instructions. They want someone they trust to figure out what needs doing and make it happen, often before they even know themselves.

Depending on your needs, I serve as your project manager, problem solver, vendor coordinator, research department, executive assistant, life administrator, and the person who quietly handles the thing that's been on the list for three months. I've been called a household strategist, “noticer”, mental load sherpa, lifestyle concierge, “my right hand”, human multi-tool, AAA for your life, and a fairy godmother.

My approach is built on learning and adapting to how you actually live. Your priorities, rhythms, vendors, and standards become my roadmap. No templates. No generic systems. Nothing lost in the cracks.

I work with people who want serious, executive-level household support without the need, commitment, or overhead of a full-time hire, and who want to work with someone they genuinely respect and who genuinely respects them in return.

Less on your plate. More room to enjoy the life you’ve built.

“Lori has given us the gift of time and lifted the mental load. That has been a gift for our marriage and for us as parents. Our evenings and weekends belong to our family now, not to an endless household to-do list.”

Working Together

My support looks different in every home, but what I bring to it stays the same. I notice things. The warranty that’s about to expire, the vendor who hasn’t called back, the system that quietly stopped working for how you live now. I prevent problems as often as I solve them, and I do that through developing authentic relationships with you and your household.

That knowledge develops over time. The longer we work together, the deeper my understanding of your household, needs, and decisions, and the more I can anticipate and handle without involving you. Whether you come to me for a single project or an ongoing partnership, the quality of the work and the care behind it stay the same. What changes is the depth.

It is also why I keep my practice small. You are not one of many; you are one of a few. Quality over quantity is not a tagline here. It is a structural decision I made when I built this practice.

Levels of Support

For specific projects, one-time needs, and first-time clients.

Sometimes you have a specific project, a time-sensitive need, or you simply want to experience working together before committing to an ongoing relationship. This option makes that easy.

Engagements are scheduled based on availability. There is no monthly commitment, no retainer, and no obligation beyond the work at hand. Many clients who begin here find their way to an ongoing relationship once they experience the work firsthand. There is no separate consultation fee for this option; any time we spend getting oriented is simply part of your project time.

Best for: one-time projects, vendor research, specific organizational tasks, move support, estate sorting, or a single complex errand.

For ongoing clients wanting consistent, reliable support.

Refined is for clients who want a real working relationship — someone who knows their home, their priorities, and their vendors, and is available to them on a consistent basis each month. This is where the institutional knowledge of your household begins to build, and where the work starts to feel genuinely different from anything you’ve experienced before.

Refined clients receive priority scheduling over Select clients, a set monthly block of support hours, and the continuity that makes this kind of work truly valuable over time.

The monthly retainer is not simply prepaid hours. It represents reserved availability, priority access, and the ongoing investment I make in knowing your home and life. Unused hours in a given month do not roll over — they are part of what you are paying for: the certainty that I am there.

Best for: clients with ongoing household needs, a few active projects, or who simply want the peace of mind of knowing consistent support is reserved for them.

For clients who want a deep, consistent, whole-life partnership.

Bespoke is the fullest expression of this work. It is designed for clients whose homes and lives require a higher level of ongoing attention — and who are ready to stop managing their household alone and have a trusted, deeply invested person holding the whole picture alongside them.

At this level, I am effectively the operational backbone of your household. I know how everything works, who handles everything, what was decided and when, and what is coming next. The work shifts from reactive to almost entirely proactive. Things get handled before you think to ask.

Bespoke clients receive the highest priority scheduling, the option for recurring set days or times for predictability, and the deepest level of ongoing investment I offer.

Best for: clients with complex, multi-project households; those managing significant renovations, transitions, or family logistics; or those who are ready to fully off-load the operational management of their home and life.

Making the Most of Your Retainer: A retainer works best as a partnership. I keep a running list of your priorities and check in regularly, and I ask that you respond to questions and decisions in a timely way so your support hours go where you need them. The best months happen when we both show up.

A Note on Trust

What I do requires being trusted with things that matter deeply to people — their homes, their family logistics, their financial paperwork, the details of how their life runs. I do not take that lightly.

Every client relationship is governed by a service agreement that clearly outlines scope, fees, confidentiality, and both parties’ responsibilities. I carry professional liability and general liability insurance. I operate with discretion as a non-negotiable.

My clients are not looking for “the help.” They are looking for a genuine partner — someone smart, invested, and deeply skilled, who treats what matters to them as if it matters to her. Because it does.

You don’t need a plan, just a starting point.

The first conversation is simple. The difference good support makes is not.

I work with a small number of clients, and I’d love to find out whether you’re one of them.
